Welcome to Keene State College. This page will give you some ideas on how to save or budget your money while you are attending this school.
What to do:
-Go to Hannaford not Shaws or buy non-brand food items so it will be cheaper.
"C says it's cheaper... by how much???... a little."
-Get a job ASAP!!
"Get a job early, everytime I talk to my mom she gives me the 'Get a Job Speech'."
-Save dollar bills for laundry, they are very helpful.
-Clip coupons.
-Find someone who can cut hair.
-Find someone with a car or take the shuttle for transportation.
-Bring a big bag and water bottles to the Dining Commons.
"My fridge is filled with bananas, apples, and Nalgenes filled with milk."
-Print everything at the library.
-Try to buy books online, they may be cheaper.

-Find a used bookstore.
-CampCo has cheaper cigarettes.
What not to do:
-Don't buy anything for your room, wait for Parents Weekend (ask them!).
-Don't let your roomate take money to buy food, they may come back with more than you want.
"This one time I gave my roomate money to go to the store and buy food. He came back with 12 boxes of Rice Krispies that we are never going to eat."
-Don't go out to dinner all the time.
-Don't go crazy on money for food and extras, you will need it later for more important things.
-Don't buy books until you meet with your professor some you may be able to check out of the library.
