Carle Hall: Carle is located on the West Side of the campus and is right next to the Owl's Nest living area. Carle is an all freshman dorm and houses 368 students that are male and female. This dorm has a game room which contains; a pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, foosball, television and a couch to relax on whenever you feel like relaxing. There is also a television room with a flat screen and couch space that could fit up to 10 to 15 people. In the main lobby of Carle there are vending machines that can satisfy your late night cravings, but don't spend all your money there because laundry will need to be done. There are two laundry rooms in this dorm containing five washer machines and six dryers in each. Now lets move up to the living area where you will find rooms that are doubles and triples. When first walking into the rooms you might be startled by the "waffle ceilings" as my friends and I like to call them, but do not be alarmed you get used to them. It adds a little flavor to the room and makes Carle stand out from the rest of the dorms on campus, and you will also find that these dorms are nice and roomy not too small. The problem is to try and keep the door open in the beginning of the year and let the air circulate through because it can get stuffy in the room with the humidity. Other than that you should find that Carle is a great place to start your college experience at Keene State College just remeber the number one rule no drinking or smoking in the dorms because you will more than likely get caught.

Holloway Hall:
The three-story structure known as Holloway Hall on the Northwest side of Keene State is home to 362 first-year students. Let's start on the first floor. Holloway's lobby is a chamber between the East and West Courtyards where students can smoke outside, relax in the shade, or read a book while soaking some extra sun. Also on the first floor is the first floor kitchen, open all night, which provides residents with an oven, microwave, toaster, sink, and a coffee pot to satisfy all residents' needs along with the four soft drink and snack vending machines located down the hall. Still on the first floor is the common room, also known as "The Great Hall". The Great Hall is a very popular spot for students to lounge in front of the working fireplace while roasting marshmallows. It also opens students to other hall activities, gatherings, and meetings. On the second and third floors, there are laundry and recycling rooms as well as a full kitchen on each floor. The floors are co-ed and feature suite style dorms which have two rooms in each suite. For example, 214 is a suite, rooms 214A and 214B are both rooms within that suite with a common room between both rooms. There are usually three people assigned per room, thus six people are housed in each suite. Inside of each suite there is one bathroom which is cleaned and supervised by only the six suite-mates who use it, which can sometimes get kind of sticky. The best part about Holloway is that it's the closest residence hall to the Dining Commons, which is across the East Courtyard. It's also the closest residence hall, besides One Butler Court, to Wal-Mart which is about a 10 minute walk East of campus.
